Help Daniel keep moving forward

Daniel is a young child who came into the world facing enormous challenges.

He has spastic cerebral palsy, but he also has a strength that surprises everyone who knows him.

Each day he fights for things that many of us take for granted: breathing without assistance, holding his head up, standing, and smiling on his own.

His progress is not the result of instant miracles; it is the result of love, constant therapy, and difficult decisions.

Daniel is not his diagnosis.
He is a child full of life, smiles, and a story that is still being written.

DonateWho is Daniel?

Who is Daniel?

Daniel is a young child whose smile speaks louder than words.

He enjoys exploring the world with his eyes, reacting to what captures his attention, and celebrating— in his own way every new achievement. He is curious, expressive, and his personality becomes clearer every day.

Although his journey has not been easy, Daniel is, above all, a child. A child who feels, who tries, who responds to love, and who keeps moving forward.

His story is not only about diagnoses or treatments, but about a life that continues to grow, step by step, supported by constant care, commitment, and hope.

What happened to me?

When I came into this world, everything was new to me.

My body was very small, and my little head needed air to learn how to move, grow, and dream. But something happened at that moment, and that air didn’t arrive the way it should have.

That’s why some things are harder for me. Moving, talking, standing up, or doing what other children do quickly… I do them slowly, in my own time.

Doctors say my brain was hurt a little when I was born. I only know that I need help, to practice every day, and to never give up.

Every day I try something new. Sometimes it’s hard, sometimes I get tired, but when I succeed, I smile big.

I am not what happened to me.
I am everything I keep trying to become.

MILESTONES IN DANIEL’S STORY

After months of uncertainty, Daniel returns to India and begins his third and fourth Cytotron phases.
The difficult decision is made to remain outside the country to avoid interrupting the process.
In December, a major milestone is achieved: the tracheostomy cannula is removed.

Daniel’s story continues.
And we keep moving forward, step by step.

During this year, Daniel continues his process in Colombia.
He remains in intensive therapies, medical follow-ups, and constant stimulation.
The progress achieved is sustained and strengthened.
Meanwhile, we continue preparing, with the hope of being able to return to India to continue his treatment.

It was not a year of travel; it was a year of endurance, daily work, and faith.

Daniel travels to India and begins his first and second Cytotron phases.
Changes start to appear: his sensitivity improves, he begins to grow, responds more to his environment, and his smiles emerge.
Despite major medical and travel difficulties, studies confirm real progress.

Daniel is born in critical condition after a severe lack of oxygen during birth.
While his mother remains in a coma, Daniel undergoes a tracheostomy and gastrostomy.
Months later, he receives the diagnosis of Infantile Cerebral Palsy.
We begin searching for options and learn about the experimental Cytotron treatment.

“The effort behind every achievement”

These figures are not expenses; they are decisions based on love, hope, and faith in God and in Daniel.

What is being done today?

The path we follow to help me keep moving forward every day.

“Today, I don’t walk alone.

Every day, there are people who help me learn, move, communicate, and understand the world better. Some come to my home, others wait for me at special centers, and all of them work with me so my body and my brain can keep learning.

It’s not a fast journey, but it is a constant one. And every small effort matters.”

Physical, occupational, and speech therapy

I receive therapy several times a week, both at home and in neurodevelopment centers. These therapies help me strengthen my body, improve my movements, and find new ways to communicate.

Low vision therapy

I work on using my vision better, following objects, focusing my gaze, and responding to visual stimuli around me.

A step that gave us hope

I traveled to India to receive a specialized treatment called Cytotron, focused on supporting brain function and recovery. It wasn’t an easy decision, but it was one made with hope.

Ongoing medical support

My journey is supported by doctors and specialists who monitor my progress and adjust my therapies based on my needs.

What progress has been made?

My progress didn’t come all at once.
It has come little by little, through consistency, therapy, and a lot of love.

Some of these changes may seem small, but for me and for those who walk with me they are huge.

Breathing and health

Today, I breathe better. My heart rate has become more stable, and my oxygen levels have improved both when I’m awake and asleep.
My reflux is gone, and I no longer vomit as before.
One major milestone was being able to remove my tracheostomy cannula, something that once seemed impossible.

Emotional state and connection

I feel calmer and happier.
I smile more often, laugh at new things, and show joy when I achieve something I couldn’t do before.

Body control and movement

I can hold my head up for longer periods.
I try to stand—not because of stiffness, but because I want to.
My legs move more and respond better during therapy.

Vision and attention

My vision is clearer and faster.
I now follow what catches my attention, look for screens and objects, and focus when something interests me.

Progress that can’t be measured

Maybe the greatest progress doesn’t show up on medical tests.
It shows in my desire to try, in how I respond to the world, and in the way I keep moving forward step by step.

Why is help still needed?

Although I have made important progress, my journey is still ongoing.

Learning, moving, communicating, and continuing to move forward is not something that happens just once. It requires consistency, time, and continuous support.

My therapies do not stop. Every week I need sessions that help my body and my brain continue learning. I also need medical check-ups, evaluations, and care that are not always covered.

The support I receive today is what allows me to maintain what I have gained and keep striving for new achievements. Without that support, many of those advances could stop.

Help is not to start over; it is to not give up now.
To keep moving forward, step by step.
